公司是陕西煤业化工集团公司以煤炭主业资产出资，联合三峡集团、华能开发、陕西有色、陕鼓集团于2008年12月23日共同发起设立的股份有限公司。公司具有较强的资源优势、产品优势、区位优势、政策优势和专业化管理优势。公司主营业务为煤炭开采、洗选、加工、销售以及生产服务等。主要产品为煤炭，具有低灰、低硫、低磷、高发热量等特点，是优质的动力、化工及冶金用煤。公司现有“黄灵牌”“黄灵一号”“玉华牌”“红柳林牌”等多个品牌，多次被陕西省评为“信得过产品”“优质煤炭产品”。近年来，公司深入贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，全面落实新发展理念，紧盯国家能源安全发展战略，坚持“创新、安全、高效、绿色、和谐”理念，全面加快煤矿智能化建设进程，煤矿智能化采煤产能超过99%，7个全国智能化示范煤矿成功通过国家验收，建成全球首个10米大采高全国产智能化综采工作面、全国首个智能化无人综采工作面、全国首个450米超长智能综采工作面、全国首个全矿井智能化示范标杆、研发应用全国首个“AI+NOSA”安全风险智能监控系统等一系列智能化技术成果，为行业智能化建设提供了实践经验和典型示范。下属黄陵矿区、神南矿区连续两届获得中国工业大奖，公司连续获得“最佳上市公司”“中国最具价值投资百强”等多项荣誉。经过十余年的快速发展，公司已成为我国煤炭行业最具竞争力的上市公司之一，蝉联地方煤炭企业和陕西省上市企业市值首位，位列煤炭行业A股上市公司市值第二，入选陕西省国资委世界一流专业领军企业创建名单，被国务院国资委列为国有重点企业管理标杆创建行动标杆企业。
