公司主要从事小型固体火箭及其延伸产品的研发、生产和销售，并一直致力于推进航天固体火箭核心技术成果的转化应用，积极发展航天智造产业。致力于航天固体火箭技术成果多层次、多领域转化并应用到“三箭客”、先进材料和测控技术。小型固体火箭总体设计技术、高性能材料技术、测控技术等固体火箭核心技术是公司竞争力的基础。以固体火箭总体设计技术为依托，公司形成了增雨防雹火箭、探空火箭、小型制导火箭等系列化小型固体火箭业务；以固体火箭高性能材料技术为基础，公司形成了炭/炭热场材料及固体火箭发动机耐烧蚀组件等炭/炭复合材料业务；以固体火箭发动机多参量动态测试技术为支撑，公司形成了智能计重系统以及测控类系统集成等业务。公司是我国较早进行增雨防雹火箭研制生产的企业之一，参与了人工影响天气火箭类作业系统行业标准的制定，公司的WR系列增雨防雹火箭产品多次用于北京奥运会、南京青奥会、杭州G20峰会、建军90周年朱日和阅兵等国际或国家级大型重要活动的天气保障工作。公司的人工影响天气产品为新疆、陕西、贵州、甘肃、云南等多地的农业生产和减灾防灾提供了强而有力的保障。公司是国内主要从事探空火箭研制开发的企业之一，目前是国内探空火箭型谱较全、产品应用较多、技术水平先进的企业。公司探空火箭产品先后服务于海洋探测、玛曲水资源保护项目、太行山区域人影作业效果评估、国家重大科学基础设施项目“子午工程”、某些区域的军事保障任务以及军民两用的多项重大气象保障和演示验证项目，为公司创造了可观的经济效益，也奠定了公司在国内探空火箭行业的地位。
