公司创业于1992年，于2011年12月在深圳证券交易所挂牌上市。公司拥有国内领先的轻烃一体化产业链，建立了自主可控的轻烃全球供应链，利用绿色工艺生产功能化学品、高分子新材料、新能源材料，推行二氧化碳与氢能综合利用，产品应用领域涵盖航空航天、汽车工业、电子半导体、医疗健康、营养护理、运动健身、建筑工程、生态环境等国计民生行业，符合国家石化行业原料轻质化发展方向，有利于国家“双碳”目标实现。卫星化学形成了以绿色低碳原料为核心的C2、C3两条一体化产业链发展，重点布局以聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚烯烃弹性体(POE)、高吸水性树脂(SAP)、丙烯酸及酯、双氧水等为代表的产品，形成功能化学品、新能源材料、高分子新材料三大板块。公司是国内首家在海外布局乙烷出口设施，成功打通中国首条乙烷全球供应链，将清洁原料引进国内建设乙烷裂解工艺路线装置，并形成C2产业链一体化布局的企业；同时，卫星化学还是国内首家建设引进美国UOP技术的丙烷脱氢装置的企业，并完成了C3全产业链一体化布局。近年来，卫星化学深化推进“管理领先”和“技术领先”，依托科技创新和现代企业制度建设，持续保持产业链和产品的市场竞争力。
